My 2012 Silver Manifesto

By Sidsel On 17. February 2012 · 1 Comment

The top two craft fairs you don’t want to miss

By Sidsel On 18. September 2011 · 1 Comment

I love this time of year, not only because of the high blue sky and supposedly warm indian summer, but because this is the time of year when all jewellers and silversmiths are working like busy bees to get ready for all the craft fairs.

As I’m not doing any craft fairs myself this year [...]

Would you like to join me in my workshop?

By Sidsel On 31. August 2011 · Leave a Comment

I’ve got an email from the restaurant Geranium, saying they would like an extra pair of top candle stick holders for the candle sticks I made for them last summer.

By Sidsel On 11. August 2011 · Leave a Comment

Imagine you just spent a fair amount on a very nice pair of boots. You really love your new boots, and can’t wait to put them on.

By Sidsel On 26. May 2011 · Leave a Comment

I must admit this brief has caused a lot of sleepless nights. Just to recap if you haven’t read my first post about the ‘Archetypes’ exhibition at Koldinghus this June, all the Danish Silversmiths are designing and making a piece of silver for an Archetype. And I’ve found it quite hard to [...]

This is my online journal about my life as a silversmith. I'll be blogging about materials, processes, functions (or non-functions) and why thing should be or look in a specific way, about what goes on in the workshop and outside it, and anything that inspires me and might interest you. This is where you get a glimpse of my universe.
