I believe silver can help create the special moments in our lives, the ones we want to remember. It could be something special we want to celebrate, or just a particular day that means something to us.

Silver can highlight our everyday and add extra sparkle to the party. Silver is a valuable material on its own, and I think it’s very important to reflect that, in the objects I make. That doesn’t mean you can’t use it everyday, on the contrary that just makes it lovelier. No, I try to make objects that are related to the situations where we need a little extra luxury; the party, the anniversary or those situations in our lives that needs that little extra attention.

Mostly the silver I make is part of creating a special atmosphere. It can be a pair of candle sticks that, with the candle light, creates just the right mood for your dinner party. Candle lights isn’t a necessary source of lighting any more, but we use it to create an atmosphere. A bowl with a layered edge can create an atmosphere about the content, make it extra delicious – for example swiss chocolate, early strawberries or a rare speciality, that you would like to enhance.

All my pieces are unique, some of them are one-off’s and there will only be that one ever, some are parts of series I make on an ongoing basis, that will evolve. Mostly I enjoy the process from idea to finished piece, which is why I after a period of time stop making certain pieces and begin new series.
